Service Description

This five-week course in the study of sketch comedy writing is perfect for beginners. Some of the skills the class covers include:  - Learn to write the different sketch types that exists - Experience working in a writers room environment - How to turn funny ideas into actual scripts and content - Create one-off and recurring sketch pieces/characters for social media - Win/Win techniques for pitching your ideas to others No prior writing or comedy experience is necessary. Class Size: 10 students; everyone will get plenty of playtime and individual attention. Length: Sessions are 2.5 hours, and meet for 5 weeks online over Zoom. NOTE: there will be required writing assignments/deadlines each week

Cancellation Policy

By registering, you are making a commitment to attend all classes to the best of your ability. However we know things come up, so being absent 1 or 2 days is acceptable, and we will send out notes on what was covered and review the lessons in the following class with prior notice of your absence. If you're going to miss more than that, please refer to the withdrawal policy below: - Being absent 3 or more days will be disruptive to the overall group and you will not be allowed to return or receive notes. - All further withdrawal requests must be made via email to - Withdrawal requests received via email 7 or more days prior to the start of the course will result in a full course refund, less a $25 non-refundable fee for online processing. - Withdrawal requests received via email more than 3, but less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will result in 50% course refund, less the $25 non-refundable fee. - Withdrawal requests received via email 48 hours or less before class #1 begins will result in no refund or credit for future sessions. - Credits for future sessions are not offered unless explicitly agreed upon in writing from our office. Any credit must be used for the next available open session only.
