Course Description

**Save with Early Bird!** Register before 9/12 for just $125. After that, tuition is $150. (Space is limited) Learn the Harold: 3 beats, 3 hours, 3 weeks. The Harold is the gold standard of longform improv - equal parts challenge and joy. In this 3-day intensive, you’ll break down the form beat by beat, learning how to open strong, heighten with purpose, and weave it all back together in a satisfying finish. Whether you’re new to Harold or want to sharpen your form skills, this class gives you the reps, tools, and coaching you need to make it click. What you’ll learn: - The architecture of the Harold: openings, games, and group work - How to heighten and explore ideas across three beats - Strategies for keeping the form alive (and avoiding “dead air” in the middle) - How to connect scenes and characters so the whole show feels electric - Practice runs of full Harolds with detailed notes and side coaching Class Format: Length: 3 weeks Sessions: 3 hours per week Class Size: Max 12 students (you’ll get plenty of time on your feet) Eligibility: You must have previous improv expercine to join. We will hit the ground running with scenes, so that's required.

One-Day classes are non-transferable. • One-time mistaken registrations may be refunded within 24 hours, minus a $30 fee. • Natural disasters, local emergencies, or others beyond our control do not qualify for refunds, but transfers will be offered when possible (fee waived). • Missing or being late to 3+ classes means you’ll be removed and not pass the course. Notes are available if you miss up to 2 classes with prior notice. (This applies to repeat student as well) • Instructors may change due to professional commitments. No refunds or transfers are available for instructor changes. • Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for your participation, including physical or emotional injury. • We reserve the right to remove students for inappropriate or harmful conduct, with no refund, to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. • Harassment, boundary-crossing, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated and may result in permanent removal. • Photos or videos may be used in Improv-LA marketing unless you opt out by emailing classes@improv-la.com with your class info. • Coupon codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added retroactively.
