Keith began his formal study of improvisation in the early 2000s and swiftly became one of the leading forces in the improv community, early on being called “One of the best improv troupes from around the country” by the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. 

​

He's honed his craft at long-standing institutions including iO West, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Second City, the Groundlings, Pack Theater, and with such improv/comedy luminaries as Charna Halpern, Bob Odenkirk, Ian Roberts, Kevin McDonald (“Kids In The Hall”), Sam Brown (“Whitest Kids You Know”), Susan Messing, Bob Dassie, Craig Cackowski, Ed Greenberg, Heather Anne Campbell, and extensively with Miles Stroth, whom he performed with for many years.

Keith has since performed in countless improv, sketch comedy, and house team shows at the UCB Theater (NY & LA), Second City, the Pack Theater, the Comedy Central Stage, Edinburgh Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Chicago Improv Fest, and iO West (where he co-created the sketch writing program). He currently tours around the world performing to sold-out crowds (even marking his recent Off-Broadway debut) as well as writing for National Lampoon & BBC. Past credits entail writing for comedians from SNL, MADtv, In Living Color, and Mr. Show as well as his own on-screen credits such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Community, and a new Marlon Wayans sketch comedy series.

In 2010, Keith established Improv-LA, a transformative platform that has since empowered thousands of individuals from various backgrounds. From seasoned improvisers to non-improvisers, actors, comedy groups, corporate teams, and major film studios- Keith has guided them all towards acquiring the invaluable skills of improvisation. His influence has extended far beyond local boundaries, as he has hosted workshops across the globe in countries such as Japan, Thailand, Ireland, France, Scotland, and England. Notably, Keith has also left an indelible mark by leading the very first long-form improv class in China. In addition to his impactful teaching, he has authored the renowned and widely-acclaimed best-selling book, "THE IMPROV MINDSET."

His philosophy is simple, since we do it everyday and have our own unique experiences, anyone can learn improv and apply the skills to where they need it most.
