Course Description
* CLASS IS FULL * In this one-off drop-in class, performers will dive into the art of creating and developing distinct, dynamic characters through improv. Designed to help individual performers find, develop, and hone their unique comedic voices, this boot camp will focus on quick character generation, physicality, and emotional commitment. Students will explore how to bring specificity and depth to their characters, create clear points of view, and sustain those choices throughout scenes. Through a series of interactive exercises, students will learn to break out of their comfort zones and sharpen their instincts, building a versatile toolkit for character work that can be applied to improv, sketch, or scripted performance. No prior improv or performing experience is required. Taught by Kesli Roberts (Groundlings Sunday Company, AppleTV+) Class Size: 16 students; everyone will get plenty of stage time and individual attention. Length: Session is 3 hours, and meets 1 time in Los Angeles.

No refunds or transfers are available for instructor changes. • Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for your participation, including physical or emotional injury. • We reserve the right to remove students for inappropriate or harmful conduct, with no refund, to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. • Harassment, boundary-crossing, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated and may result in permanent removal. • Photos or videos may be used in Improv-LA marketing unless you opt out by emailing classes@improv-la.com with your class info. • Coupon codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added retroactively.
