You learned some of the major styles of improv, now let's cover the rest. This class will be 4-weeks in the study and practice of expanding your improv toolbox and implementing them into your everyday scenes. We'll cover the following: - The "Game of the Scene" - Heighteing and different Scenic Edits - World Building, Mapping, and Genres - The other major improv scenes styles (New York, Canadian, and Asian styles) and how to play them Students must have completed Improv-LA Level 2 to be eligible for this class. Class Size: 14 students; everyone will get plenty of playtime and individual attention. Length: Sessions are 3 hours, and meet for 6 weeks in Los Angeles. Note: All in-person classes require students to show proof of vaccination and wear masks at all times. No exceptions and no refunds will be offered if you do not meet these guidelines. However, our Online Classes do not require either. Also, due to Covid variant surges, in-person classes are subject to change and may be postponed if city guidelines change for theater venues. In the unfortunate case that this occurs, you can to move to any other class offered later in the year or use payment towards our online classes.
By registering, you are making a commitment to attend all classes to the best of your ability. Although we know things come up, so being absent 1 or 2 days is acceptable, and we will send out notes on what was covered and review the lessons in the following class with notice of your absence. If you're going to miss more than that, please refer to the withdrawal policy below: - Being absent 3 or more days will be disruptive to the overall group and you will not be allowed to return or receive notes. - All further withdrawal requests must be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org - Withdrawal requests received via email 7 or more days prior to the start of the course will result in a full course refund, less a $25 non-refundable fee for online processing. - Withdrawal requests received via email more than 2, but less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will result in 50% course refund, less the $25 non-refundable fee. - Withdrawal requests received via email 48 hours or less before class #1 begins will result in no refund or credit for future sessions.
