This six-week beginner class is the perfect starting point whether you are nervous, have zero experience, or want to learn easy tricks to creating great improv. What you'll learn: - Stronger public speaking & communication - Confidence to use your own personality to never 'go blank' again - Six ways to start scenes and conversations - The “Four Pillars of Improv” to build great scenes every time - Intro to long form and creating whole improvised pieces - Strengthen your comedic timing & voice - Core improv tools like agreement, listening, emotions, and more! Also Included: Every student will receive free access to bonus tools to boost your learning, including: - Exclusive videos and reading suggestions - Recommended live shows to check out in town - Optional out-of-class assignments for extra practice - Detailed notes for any class you miss, so you never fall behind! Class Format: Length: 6 weeks Sessions: 3 hours per week Class Size: Max 14 students (you’ll get plenty of playtime and personal attention) Eligibility: No prior improv or performing experience is necessary. Courses are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. • Transfers may be possible (not guaranteed) if requested by email at least 7 days before your course begins, depending on availability. A $35 fee applies. Transfers expire 30 days after being offered. • One-time mistaken registrations may be refunded within 24 hours, minus a $30 fee. • Natural disasters, local emergencies, or others beyond our control do not qualify for refunds, but transfers will be offered when possible (fee waived). • Missing or being late to 3+ classes means you’ll be removed and not pass the course. Notes are available if you miss up to 2 classes with prior notice. • Instructors may change due to professional commitments. No refunds or transfers are available for instructor changes. • Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for your participation, including physical or emotional injury. • We reserve the right to remove students for inappropriate or harmful conduct, with no refund, to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. • Harassment, boundary-crossing, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated and may result in permanent removal. • Photos or videos may be used in Improv-LA marketing unless you opt out by emailing classes@improv-la.com with your class info. • Coupon codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added retroactively.
