Course Description
**ONE TIME ONLY CLASS - SPACE IS LIMITED ** Taught by character-master Kelsi Roberts (Groundlings Sunday Company, UCB Characters Welcome, and more!) In this three-class intensive, you’ll learn how to create bold, unique, and playable characters that elevate your improv. Through exercises, games, and scene work, we’ll explore physicality, voice, and emotional choices to help you unlock memorable characters on stage. By the end, you’ll walk away with a toolkit of techniques to generate characters quickly and confidently- whether for long-form improv, sketches, or auditions. Class Format: Length: 3 weeks Sessions: 3 hours per week Class Size: Max 12 students (you’ll get plenty of time on your feet) Eligibility: Previous improv experience is HIGHLY SUGGESTED to join. We will hit the ground running so it will help to know the basics already.

Notes are available if you miss up to 2 classes with prior notice. (This applies to repeat student as well) • Instructors may change due to professional commitments. No refunds or transfers are available for instructor changes. • Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for your participation, including physical or emotional injury. • We reserve the right to remove students for inappropriate or harmful conduct, with no refund, to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. • Harassment, boundary-crossing, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated and may result in permanent removal. • Photos or videos may be used in Improv-LA marketing unless you opt out by emailing classes@improv-la.com with your class info. • Coupon codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added retroactively.
