LEVEL 1: BEGINNING IMPROV
In-Person Group Class Description
This six-week course in the study of improv comedy is perfect for beginners.
Some of the skills the class covers include:
Skills that will make you more confident, creative, and help you
think quicker on your feet and better at public speaking and social situations
Different ways to generate ideas, and never “go blank” again
The 5 best ways to initiate scenes and conversations
Applying the major tenets of improv such as agreement, listening, and more
The 4 Pillars needed for every improv scene
Strengthen your sense of humor and comedic timing
Learn the long form structure The Freeplay
No prior improv or performing experience is necessary.
Class Size: 14 students; everyone will get plenty of stage time and individual attention.
Length: Sessions are 3 hours, and meet for 3 weeks in Los Angeles.
Our in-person classes will resume as soon as the City gives orders for theater venues to open.
We are watching the situation closely and look forward to starting in-person again this year.
