Founder & Head Instructor (Levels 1-3, Internationally, Corporate)
Improv-LA was founded by award-winning international comedian, writer, and teacher, Keith Saltojanes.
Keith began his formal study of improvisation in 2004 while earning his degree at the UCF Conservatory Theatre and quickly became one of the leading forces in the expansion of the region's improv community and was called “One of the best improv troupes from around the country” by the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. During this time, he became one of the rotating teachers of the popular “Improv Gym” workshop, where students could learn, study, and practice long form improvisation; the only place of its kind in the city.
Once relocating to Los Angeles, Keith studied at iO West, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre,
Second City, Pack Theater, and with such great teachers as Charna Halpern, Bob Odenkirk, Ian Roberts, Kevin McDonald (“Kids In The Hall”), Sam Brown (“Whitest Kids You Know”), Susan Messing, Bob Dassie,
Craig Cackowski, Ed Greenberg, Heather Anne Campbell, and extensively with Miles Stroth, whom he performed with for many years.
Keith has since performed in countless improv, sketch comedy, and house team shows at the UCB Theater (NY & LA), Second City, the Groundlings, the Pack Theater, the Comedy Central Stage, Edinburgh Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Chicago Improv Fest, and iO West (where he co-created the sketch writing program). He currently tours around the world performing to sold-out crowds (including his recent Off-Broadway debut) as well as writes comedy for National Lampoon and for people from SNL, MADtv, In Living Color, and Mr. Show. Some on-screen credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Community, and a new Marlon Wayans sketch comedy series.
Keith has been teaching improvisers, non-improvisers, actors, comedy groups, and corporate teams the skills of improvisation across the globe and hosting workshops in Japan, Thailand, Ireland, France, Scotland, England, and led the very first long form improv class in China.
His philosophy is, since we do it everyday and have our own unique experiences,
anyone can learn improv.
* Keith holds the Guinness World Record for Longest Improv Show at 150 Hours

* Keith’s online videos have been watched over 100 millions of times and have been featured on
