Attendance / Lateness Policy
Students are expected to attend all eight classes. If a student is going to miss class, the student must inform the instructor in advance via email of their absense.
If a student misses classes regularly without informing the instructor, the student in question will be removed from the class and asked to repeat the entire level if they plan on continuing their studies into the next level of classes.
In addition, prompt attendance is required from all students. Students are required to make it to their classes on time so that they can participate in all warm-up exercises prior to the performance of scenes and other exercises. When students arrive late, the instructor needs to explain exercises and concepts again. This is considered to be too disruptive to be allowed, and the late student will end up missing important information.
The instructor will not allow students who arrive more than thirty minutes late to be in class for that day. The class will then be counted as the student being absent. A student who arrives more than thirty minutes late to class on three occasions will be dropped from the course.
Although very rare, class schedule is subject to change. In most cases students will receive at least a 24 notice of a change, and any postponed classes will be made up at the end of the session.
